Hi, Please can you advise me if you have a solar charger suitable for charging the battery on my tipper trailer, it is left in an open barn with no electricity so would need to be waterproof and also would need to be left unattended for long periods. Many thanks

Many thanks for getting in touch.
As the battery may be quite depleted after use the Optimate 20 would be well suited to your requirements.
If you need to recharge the battery quickly due to regular use of the tipper battery you may want to use a larger solar charger to speed up the charging process. An Optimate 40W will recharge the battery twice as fast as the Optimate 20, the Optimate 60 would re-charge 3 times as fast and so on.
All Optimate solar chargers come with a fully weatherproof solar panel that can be permanently mounted outside (using mounting holes through panel's corner mounts). They also come with a charge controller which manages the charging process to make the most of the daylight available and prevents battery damage from overcharging (so solar panel can be left connected all of the time). The charge controller is splash proof and will be fine located in your open fronted barn.
The solar panel is easy to disconnect from the battery when the trailer is in use thanks to the in-line plug/socket arrangement. Depending on where you intend to mount the solar panel you may need an extension cable (4.6m) to run from the solar panel back to the charge controller at the battery (solar panel comes with 2m cable as standard).
