Solar Trickle Chargers
These Solar Trickle Chargers are ideal for maintenance charging of 12V batteries on boats of all shapes and sizes.
As a rule of thumb, for year round battery maintenance (protection against natural battery discharge), use approximately 10W of solar for every 100Ah of 12V battery capacity. If you exceed this ratio a solar charge controller should also be installed to protect battery from overcharging.
For example, a 10W solar trickle charger is popular for a typical 110Ah leisure battery (no charge controller required).
